Casino SDs

Question for SBs
I’m curious to find out what are your experiences with SDs who play baccarat black jack poker and go on tournaments all over US casinos ? They usually get a lot from hosts (spa food quality champagne tickets to events in casino) because they spend money on the table
Anyone experienced this ? Are they worth it ? Have you had good experiences ?

I think that they should remaster new Vegas. Not a different new fallout game.

Great game. Incredible story, and everything was set up pretty well. But the fucking barriers.Oh boy the times I’ve tried getting to my objective but going in the uphill direction that is easily steep enough to walk on, and then getting stuck? Pfft. No way man. An auto save system would be nice too. Getting stuck inside one of those invisible barriers and then you save being like an hour ago? No way. Better graphics would be handy too, but not too better to the point where it takes the games “charm” of mundane desert away. Maybe make the game playable after beating it? Moving different gangs into different casinos? I should be able to wipe out the white glove society and then move the khans in there. Bigger soundtrack. Yep. Thsi ones a biggie. Don’t want to listen to johnny guitar and SPURS THAT JINGLE JANGLE JINGLE. Also, I feel that in thsi game a playable ghoul character would be easy to do. Maybe sprinting? Not so sure about that one. Also add new buildings. As a IRL Boulder City resident, they kinda disgraced my town a lil bit. And the Luxor, and the Belagio, like 5 other grand casinos get moved in?

General feedback (pt 1)

I labeled this as "pt 1" not because I immediately have a part 2 coming any time soon, but because I haven't actually played the game a ton yet, but I plan to play it quite a bit more and expect to have more feedback. I love SimAirport, and SimCasino had been on my wishlist for a while, so I'm glad it has finally made it to early access.
This will largely be a list of (hopefully constructive) criticism. I am enjoying the game. And to be clear, almost all the feedback I have are things I view as pretty minor and not greatly impacting my ability to enjoy the game so far, but definitely some areas that can use some polish.

I'm going to stop here for now. Like I said, there will be more in the future. I am enjoying the game and am exciting to see it develop. The three comments to discuss in detail will come a bit later as I have a few things I need to do at the moment.

Traveling to Las Vegas next month and just have some questions.

As the title says, me and my wife are traveling to Vegas. I already have the airport part of it covered but just wanted some info from people who live there or traveled recently.
Is there any place we really need to avoid to avoid bad situations? Are there any hotels/casinos that specifically ban ccw by use of metal detectors or such? (Specifically going to a show at the Rio.) Signs carry no weight of law? Taxis and Ubers pretty trustworthy? And anything else you guys/gals may think we need to know about before we travel there.
Then, any other sites or things we need to see while we are there? First time so going to some of the obvious like Belagio fountains and Freedmont street around sunset.
Thanks everyone for your help.
Edit: thanks everyone for comments. Not commenting on all of them but definitely reading them and appreciate all the helpful tips and sites to see.

Our first trip to Vegas, looking for suggestions.

Hello! My girlfriend and I are flying into Vegas later this evening and staying until Sunday morning. We should land around 8pm and will be staying at The California Hotel and Casino (she picked, is that a good stay?). We will have a rental car.
I was thinking we would explore the Fremont area tonight, but have nothing specific in mind to seek out. My GF isn't into gambling but I brought a few hundred to play around with, I have seen posted that El Cortez is highly recommended to gamble at. What other casino's should I visit? Any shows on Friday night?
For Friday, I was thinking we wake up early and visit Nelson Ghost town then do Hoover Dam, we have dinner plans with friends around 5-6pm, then a free evening after that.
Saturday morning and afternoon we are hiking at Red Rock. We fly our sorta early Sunday. I am thinking of visiting the Belagio and the Venetian, possibly considering a gondola tour though they seem pricey. I read the MGM buffet is supposedly good, is this true?
If we can, we were also considering the downtown container park.
But we are open to any suggestions or ideas! Not sure what to see in Fremont, where to spend my gambling fund, if the gondola tour is worth it, or if there any shows that are going on Friday/Saturday night that you would suggest.
P.S. I have seen posted that when we check in at the hotel, we should include a $20 tip, is this a generally accepted practice?

[Discussion] [PSA] Las Vegas Strip Now Has By Far The Best Pokémon (2X than SF)

I caught or evolved 7 of the 9 current best Mons on the strip today. I can currently see a rhyhorn, golem, abra, growlithe, charmander, 3 eevees,... I live in LA and spent a couple weeks in SF in August. If you Gym battle Las Vegas is where it is at.
Edit- I am in the MGM right now.
Edit 2- Porygon and electrics popped up a few times for me today too.

Short trip after a decade away!

For the first time since we reproduced we are taking an adult vacation! I did read all the info and have been lurking for the past month so hopefully I don't ask anything stupid. Mostly I'm looking for input: What are your personal not to be missed strip/Fremont activities so we can consider adding them??
Budget: Limited. Probably $400 for discretionary spending but we have the hotel, flights, and shows paid for already.
Who we are: 3 of us are in our mid 20s (two celebrating birthdays!) and 2 of us are their much older (31 yo) friends. The old ones would be myself and my husband. We are all fairly geeky (monthly board game night) and love beer and craft cocktails (from Portland). The younger three enjoy more of a party scene than the older two who get tired by 11 because we have two young children. We are okay separating some. This trip is about relaxing, pampering, and having fun.
Trip: 2 nights at NYNY. A Sunday to Tuesday trip. We are all seeing Zumanity together Monday night. Sunday night the older two have tickets for BMG and the younger three are considering ToK or bar hopping.
Tentative plan: Sunday: Fly in early. Drop luggage at hotel and go over to Fremont. None of us have been here so we plan to spend a decent chunk of the day exploring. That night we will likely have dinner together before we separate for our endeavors then meet up again afterward to check in the piano bar and explore our own hotel.
Monday: Wander around the glitzier hotels like Bellagio, Venetian, and Paris. Do the Eiffel Tower. Probably do the buffet at Paris for a late breakfast. That afternoon we want to see MGM and Mirage. Not sure if this is too much to try to do in one day. We are then thinking birthday dinner at Nine Fine Irishmen (this is not set in stone) and Zumanity (tickets purchased). Afterward we would like to do something special but that's not pinned down either!
Tuesday: Sleep until check out then park our bags in the bell hop (late flight). Explore NYNY more and maybe hit the roller coaster. We might go to the Planet Hollywood buffet before we leave but are more likely to trek over to In-n-Out as my husband is a CA native and needs his fix.
Would love to hear about your not to be missed so we can add them to our possible itinerary!
